Η Αλκυόνη ήταν κόρη του Αίολου, του έλληνα θεού των ανέμων. Ήταν παντρεμένη με τον βασιλιά της Θεσσαλίας στην κεντρική Ελλάδα, τον Κύηκα. Alcyone was the daughter of Aeolus, the Greek god of the wind. She was married with the King of Thessaly in central Greece, Ceyx.
